Discovering Micro Motorz collectable cars from Teamsterz {Review}

*We received the featured products for this review, all opinions are my own.*

All children love a blind bag and Dylan is no different, given the choice he'll usually pick one blind bag type collectable or another. We've collected various kinds over recent years and the biggest hits are always vehicle based blind bags. They are regularly brought out and played with to race, create stunts and more. When I heard about the newest range from Teamsterz I was really interested to see how Dylan would like them.

The latest release is a whole unboxing experience that is taking blind bags to a new level. The Micro Motorz from Teamsterz is a range of awesome collectible cars with accessories and more inside one blindbag! The long rectangular packaging has a whole lot of fun hidden inside with 6 surprises to be found. Dylan was feeling super excited to get started and find out what might be hiding inside.

The first discovery is when you first open up the outer bag of Micro Motorz and a little hint towards which car you can find inside. The biggest part inside the packet is a blue container made up of three chambers with a racing '3, 2, 1, GO!!!' across the front. Inside each chamber is a little surprise or two. You'll also find a sticker with a team logo on, there are four teams each with their own unique racing perks.
You can find Micro Motorz in one of the four teams;

  • Nitro Chargers - built to be powerful cars with fantastic engines that make them the perfect drag racing car. There are 3 normal Micro Motorz to collect and another 3 rare Micro Motorz in this team.
  • Speed Demons - These Micro Motorz are equipped with intrerchangable spoilers and are built to speed down tracks. There are 3 normal Micro Motorz to collect and another 3 rare Micro Motorz in this team too.
  • Hot Rods - The cool kids of the Micro Motorz world they have brilliant colours with interchangable air scoops to really ramp up the style. Again there are 3 normal Micro Motorz to collect and another 3 rare Micro Motorz in this team.
  • Monster Treadz - The rarest of the rare are the Monster trucks of Micro Motorz, built to just crush their opponents they come complete with gold engines! There are three of these ultra rare Micro Motorz to find.

Pop each section off by twisting and pulling the little chambers apart. I've opened the one above as a whole to show what you will find in each section. Start with number 3 which hides a tool hidden inside it's own blind bag and your collectable leaflet showing you each of the cars you can find and which team they are in. Now that you have a team logo sticker and your leaflet you can see which cars you might find inside! Dylan really loves this chamber style of a blind bag.

Moving on to chamber 2 which is hiding another blind bag to open. Inside you'll find a part to make your launcher and your tuning accessory which can be changed out with the original part attached to your car. These tuning accessories add even more fun to pretend play with cars. You can be a mechanic and change up the finer details on a car.

Now inside the final chamber is the biggest surprise of all, the car! This is the biggest chamber because your car comes inside it's own launcher which helps to get the top speed for those all important races! Once opened you'll find out which car you have inside it's own capsule. The blue door opens and you can remove the car. We found the easiest way to get the car out the first time after opening was to remove the blue plate along the bottom. Doing that pops the piece holding the car in place out and lets you slide the car and the blue plate it's sitting on out of the capsule.

Which leads me on to changing the capsule to a launch pad. You'll be half way there if you remove the car like we did. We followed the instructions on our collectable booklet. We got our pieces together and built up our launchers ready to get speeding!

All set and ready to get racing, once the cars are ready to race you push down on the blue lip that sits out at the back of the launcher when in the launch position to get going. We set up a part of a Teamsterz track that Dylan already owns and used the Micro Motorz from their launchers to see which would win. (It was the red and white racer if your wondering.)

Dylan's favourite part of the Micro Motorz from Teamsterz is getting to switch out the engines and decide which piece he should use in the car. He was telling me all about each and why he needed this one or the other.

I have to say I'm really impressed with Micro Motorz, already they've been used daily and Dylan is having so much fun thinking up his races to play. He enjoys changing them up and racing to see who won. We did get some duplicates from the five packs we opened but He's still enjoyed racing them against each other with different engines! It such a fantastic little perk to change up the tuning accessories. Micro Motorz are the perfect collectable for all car lovers, There's a lot of fun to be had in the opening experience but the racing means the fun never has to stop. I already know these will on the Christmas list and probably still on his birthday wish list come next year too.

You can purchase Micro Motorz from Teamsterz for £5.75 from all good toy stores and retailers.
