Snazaroo Brush Pens Review

In the last three or four months D has really taken to wanting his face painted. If we are out and he has seen someone wearing or doing face paint then he immediately asks can he have some too. When we heard about the new Snazaroo Brush Pens I knew they would be perfect for him!
If you haven't heard of Snazaroo then you must have been hiding under a rock somewhere in the outback. They are well renowned brand who are passionate about face painting. Snazaroo face paints are specially formulated to be paraben and fragrance free. All the Snazaroo products are made using premium grade cosmetic ingredients, allowing you to rest assured that they are safe for children's delicate skin.
Snazaroo Brush Pens Review
The latest in the Snazaroo range is their new Brush Pens which come in packs of three. Each pack is themed. Our pack is the Brush Pen Adventure pack which includes a red, blue and gold pen. There are 4 other Brush Pen Packs available, Brush Pen Monochrome Pack (2 black and 1 white), Brush Pen Jungle Pack (Green, Yellow and Brown), Brush Pen Fantasy Pack (Pink, Purple and Silver) and finally the Halloween pack (Orange, Black and White). There is a pack for every little imagination out there.
Snazaroo Brush Pen holds everything you need to paint in your hand
Everything you need to paint faces is inside the pens. Each Snazaroo Brush Pen has a twistable end. Simply twisting once or twice bring up enough paint for a good few lines/ shapes. I do recommend giving them a good few twists when you first open them up. I twisted each around 10 times to get the paint up to the brush at the start. Each Snazaroo Brush Pen comes with a tight lid that protects both the brush and the paint inside when not in use. It's easy to pop off and the thicker edge at the bottom means you can stand it up on a table when your not using the pen.
Easy application of Snazaroo Brush Pens
D couldn't wait to get started with the Snazaroo Brush Pens. Just after we started and the paint had appeared at the top of each brush he said "Wow! These pens are magic!", I have to agree with him. The brush is brilliant, it's easily manipulated to create a long straight line and a point. The paint doesn't dry when sealed which leaves the brush pliable enough to change the shape when you use it again. It's easy to create different lengths and widths with the Snazaroo Brush Pens. I like that each line comes out without a lot of brush strokes. It's fluid and easy to use.
The Snazaroo Brush Pens are perfect for using with children, the paint is fast drying which allows you to layer up as you go along. When I was painting d's face we did each side in sections, I painted one area and copied that on the other side. By the time I had painted the other the first was dried and I could use another colour over the top or directly beside it without transferring the paint onto the brush.
D is a superhero thanks to Snazaroo Brush Pens
I had expected Snazaroo Brush Pens to take time to apply, we've all watched as master face painters set to work and it does take some time. The Snazaroo Brush Pens take much less time to use, there's no need for water, brushes, sponges and you don't even need a table! I was able to transform D from boy to hero in a matter of minutes, much to his delight!
D painting my face with Snazaroo Brush Pens
Once D had been transformed he wanted someone to play superheroes with. Luckily for him Snazaroo Brush Pens are so easy to use that even children can use them! (Well they can as long as they are supervised.) As you can imagine D was delighted at the prospect of painting my face himself! He set to work, at first he wanted me to be spider girl so I had a red spider on my cheek. After a little while he changed his mind and I was Super Mum, I much prefer that name! D clicked with Snazaroo Brush Pens within seconds. He could get the paint right up to the tip with a click or two and knew to use it just like a pencil to create whatever he wanted. After a little bit of over excitement and twisting one too many times he was able to remember to twist once each time.
I was really surprised by just how little paint we used. We painted both our faces a few times now and we've barely used the paint. One little click gives you so much! I know these will last for a good while before we need to replace this adventure pack.
I love that Snazaroo Brush Pens allow children to really get create. They are perfect for the dressing up area at home, since they are water based and easy to wash away. Children can be given a mirror with the pens and create their own designs however they choose. Snazaroo Brush Pens are easy to clean off. It took a matter of seconds to remove D's superhero mask before bed.
Snazaroo Brush Pens are great for everyone. The pens are so handy for popping in your bag for themed nights out, play dates, Halloween parties or anywhere that it's acceptable to wear face paint. I think Snazaroo Brush Pens can add a higher level of pretend play when it comes to dressing up while allowing children the freedom of trying to do it themselves. I would have to say these are now on our must have list, I plan to get the other packs for everyone to use. D has already asked for black, orange, purple and silver so it looks like we will be buying them all pretty soon.
You can purchase the Snazaroo Brush Pen Adventure Pack at just £9.99, All 5 of the Snazaroo Brush Pen Packs are available for £9.99
